Kapitolyo, Pasig started as a residential area, which later boomed into a popular destination for foodies. One of the restaurants we tried is Haru Sushi Bar and Restaurant. It is located beside Cafe Juanita which is both owned by Dr. Efren Vazquez.
You can feel the homey and casual vibe in this Japanese themed restaurant. The servers wear kimonos. The sushi counter is located near the entrance where you can see the chef preparing the maki.
What we ordered:
Ebi Tempura Maki
Sushi roll with shrimp tempura, cucumber, sesame seed and teriyaki sauce
Tori Teriyaki
Grilled Chicken Teriyaki
Salmon Donburi
Imported salmon on vinegar rice. Served with Miso Soup
Yakiniku ( US Beef)
FINAL VERDICT:
Overall, the food was just okay and the servings are small. It’s a bit disappointing given the interiors are well decorated.
