Mateo’s Restaurant offers Spanish-Filipino home-cooked meals. It was actually a house converted to a homey restaurant. It’s nice to celebrate private occasions here like birthdays, anniversaries, or even hold a bridal shower event. They have function rooms depending on the number of persons. If many, you can have a buffet set for your private gatherings. For us, we just went here to relax and taste their dishes.

MUSHROOM SOUP (Php 195)

The mushroom soup is thick in consistency. It has lots of minced mushrooms, which I like.

PUMPKIN SOUP (Php 120)

The pumpkin soup is equally good. You can taste that the soup is made from scratch.

ROAST BEEF (Php 450)

The roast beef is so tender which can be easily sliced by fork. It goes well with the homemade gravy. It makes me want to order plain rice to pair it with the gravy!

SEAFOOD PAELLA (Php 875)

They say that their paella is one of the best sellers. You can order this first because it takes about 15 mins to cook. Indeed a must order! It’s very flavorful.

FINAL VERDICT:

Overall, Mateo’s Restaurant is a nice place to have special gatherings or intimate dates. The food is delicious and the ambiance is very homey. I’m going back to try their beef salpicao.
