Tamayaki is known for their takoyaki, a street food snack originated in Osaka cooked in a special molded pan. It is a ball-shaped made of savory pancake batter with diced octopus inside.
Tamayaki’s version of takoyaki is unique because you can choose variants of toppings aside from the usual octopus we know. From grilled steak, Korean pork, kani and shrimp, fish fillet and many others to choose from.
We ordered for the traditional octopus and the Korean pork.
The takoyaki will be made upon ordering to ensure that they are prepared fresh. It could take a while. You will be asked to choose from their sauces : the traditional takoyaki sauce (sweet) and spicy satay. We choose mixed for us to try both.
Here’s our takoyaki:
It’s topped with generous bonito flakes.
FINAL VERDICT:

We like Tamayaki’s takoyaki, which is crunchy outside and chewy inside. I prefer the Korean pork topping than the octopus. For the sauce, I usually prefer spicy. But for this, I like the traditional takoyaki better. It has a little sweetness to it. I can definitely recommend it to those who are craving for authentic takoyaki and those who want to have a unique snack.
