Serving Filipino food in classics and twists, Manam is surely one of the crowd favorites as one of the must visit restaurants when in Greenbelt.
Whenever I pass by the restaurant, there are always people outside waiting. During our visit, we are second in line so we didn’t wait long.
Manam’s menu is great for sharing either for small or big groups. They also have single serving for those who have a small appetite or in solo. For us, we ordered everything in medium size to share.
ADOBONG KANGKONG M ( Php 165)
LAING M ( Php 205)
CRISPY PATA W/ GARLIC-CHILLI BITS ( Php 495)
A must order! The texture is very crispy and the spice on top gives a nice aroma and flavor to the meat. It wasn’t oily so you wouldn’t feel guilty after eating everything!
SIZZLING BANGUS BELLY SISIG M ( Php 295)
The House Crispy Sisig was their recommended dish, but we choose bangus belly because we already had Crispy Pata. This one is a good alternative. Delicious!
SINIGANG IN BEEF SHORT RIBS W/ WATERMELON
This is a hit for the sinigang-lovers out there! It didn’t taste weird despite of the unusual twist. It’s actually the most ordered and recommended dish here! The staff was really nice because he refilled our soup even though we didn’t ask for it. 🙂
GARLIC RICE
It looks very plain, but it has the right aroma of garlic that is perfect for all the dishes we ordered. Despite the huge serving, we manage to finish it off because everything paired with this was really good.
TURON OF MANGO & KESONG PUTI W/ ICE CREAM ( Php 280)
Perfect for dessert!
PALITAW ( Php 220)
Not really sure if this one is on their menu because we didn’t find any. My father was craving for this and he just randomly asked the kind staff if they serve palitaw. To our surprise, she said yes, so we ordered for it. We waited quite long, but it was worth it! – 2 huge slices of palitaw with coconut shavings on top. The twist? It has dulce de leche inside!! It’s very interesting and delicious. It was worth the try. I suggest ordering this in advance 🙂
FINAL VERDICT:
Manam is added to my favorite Filipino restaurant here in Manila. The dishes here are in three sizes: S- good for one, M- good for 3 and L, which is good for 6 persons to share. The dishes are all delicious. Filipino food tends to be oily at times. But in Manam, I didn’t feel the oiliness in all of the dishes we ordered. I recommend the Crispy Pata, Sinigang in Beef Short Ribs with Watermelon and Palitaw. They also offer unique flavored cooler shakes like Ube Sago Shake. Too bad my throat was aching that time, so I wasn’t able to try it. But will definitely revisit soon and try their other dishes!
