Galileo Enoteca Deli is an Italian fine dining restaurant hidden in Mandaluyong City. We wouldn’t know the place if I haven’t found it on the internet as one of the romantic places to have a date.
The theme of the restaurant lives up to its name. Enoteca means Library of Wines. As you enter, the corners of the dining rooms are decorated with wine cellars with high quality wines displayed.
Besides their famous wines, they also serve cold cuts, cheeses and other delicatessen together with other Italian favorites.
Reservation is a must here to get good seats. We failed to call for a reservation so we waited for a while before we are escorted to nice table. We are given complimentary bread while waiting.
QUATTRO FORMAGGI ( Php 450)
Pomodoro, Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmiggiano and gorgonzola
Imagine how cheesy this pizza is. The cheese complemented each other very well and didn’t overpower one another. The crust is on the crispy and hard texture.
RISOTTO PESCATORA ( Php 480)
The seafood Arborio rice is very flavorful. It comes with squid, mussel and shrimps.
FUSILLI SAMONE ( Php 420)
The salmon pasta with fresh herbs is very light. I would prefer it to be creamier.
FINAL VERDICT:
The place is very nice, but the seats are quite near to each other. People mostly ordered their wines and assorted cheese and cold cuts. We had to skip it since we wanted to try most of their mains. The pizza and risotto are both unique and flavorful. Serving size is good for two persons to share. Prices are affordable compared to other Italian fine dining restaurants. Better come early because parking space is limited.
