Shangri-La Plaza has few good selections of restaurants. One restaurant we haven’t tried yet is Balbao. Looking at their menu, Balboa specializes in 3 comfort dishes: Pizza, Pasta and Steak so we decided to give it a shot.
The restaurant is indeed named after the fictional character, Rocky Balboa, which was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone. The inside of the restaurant is very classy and elegant.

PEPPERONI PIZZA ( Php 348)
Unlike other Italian restaurant, the pizza was priced fairly given its size. The taste was good enough.
TRUFFLE MUSHROOM LINGUINI ( Php 328)
The pasta wasn’t too creamy which I prefer. It tasted okay.
Of course we already have pizza and pasta. The one left that should be tried is their steak. 
The steak is simply cooked to taste the natural flavor of the meat. It was tender and has fat trimmings on the side.
FINAL VERDICT:
Overall, the experience was nice with good food and reasonable price. There are more authentic Italian restaurants out there, but I guess it’s a good option when in Shangri-la Plaza.
