I remembered Pegi Waffles started as retailing their fresh, authentic Liege-style waffles. I would go here and buy their frozen waffles, take it home and make my own with lots of cream and strawberry syrup on top.
Now, Pegi Waffles expanded and grown into other ventures and products, such as Certo! They have ravioli, English Scones and clotted Cream. It started from a small commissary to now with a full cafe menu in San Juan.
Here’s my Belgian Cafe Experience:
As you enter, you can feel the classy and homey vibe with lots of painting displayed. The paintings are for their advocacy Paint.Share.Care, where it will be for the benefit of the homeless.
EGGS BENEDICT (Php 250)
Eggs Benedict on brussels waffles!
CHICKEN CORDON BLEU ( Php 275)
AFTERNOON TEA ( Php195)
They have different tea bags to choose from. This one is organic English breakfast.
I love love love their scones!! It’s not usual for me to have this. Scones are quick bread and taste like biscuits. The scone itself is already good. Filling it with their clotted cream and strawberry jam makes it perfect!
Look at our table. It’s lovely to relax and have a nice conversation here.
FINAL VERDICT:
I enjoyed my stay here in Pegi Waffles. The place is very pleasing and it’s good to have a chat here with your friends. It’s also nice to go here anytime of the day. They have breakfast food, rice meal and dessert! I’ll be back to try the Blueberries & Cream in Liege waffles!
