The famous Curry House in Japan, CoCo Ichibanya, is now here in Manila. Thanks to Hubert Young of Mitsuyado Sei-men and UCC Group!
CoCo Ichibanya opened their first branch in Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons.
The menu allows you to customize the dishes. To start with, you can choose your:
Desired Rice Volume: 200g, 300g (Standard), 400g, 500g and 600g
Level of Spiciness: Mild, Standard, Medium Hot, Hot, Extra Hot, Super Hot and Crazy Hot
Recommended Mix Menu:
Cheese Hamburger Curry + Japanese Sausage
400g of Rice Volume, Medium Hot (Level 1) spiciness
This is yummy! I sliced the hamburger and the cheese oozed out. What can go wrong with cheese? The Japanese sausage is also delicious. The sausages are a bit small but they’re juicy in every bite.
Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry
For their Omelet Curry, you can’t change the standard rice volume of 200g. Maybe it’s for presentation purpose.
This is good, but we love Saboten‘s croquette more.
Pork Cutlet & Vegetables Curry ( Php 440)
I have tried Coco in Japan and I can say that it has the same quality and taste. They said that most of their ingredients are imported from Japan. Their curry has the right kind of flavor and consistency. You will definitely need a lot of rice to complement the spiciness of the curry, not to mention they’re generous with the curry sauce.
