We went to explore Food Exchange Manila as we are invited by our cousin to celebrate his birthday here at Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
Food Exchange Manila is the buffet restaurant of Novotel Manila, which offers a wide array of international dishes that includes American, Indian, Italian, and many more. The place as you enter is very spacious and clean.
First in the buffet area is the Indian section:
Some of the cooked dishes: Pepper Beef, Stir fry seafood, crispy sweet chili chicken…
Carving Station
Grilling Section:
Japanese section:
Breads:
Chinese section: Lumpia shanghai and chicken
You can create your own noodle soup:
Here is mine:
Seafoods:
For Italian, they have pizza and pasta :
Choose your sauce for the pasta: Cream or tomato based
The pasta is seasoned well with flavors in it. Both are good.
Drinks are also included:
Dessert section:
Churros with butterscotch sauce or chocolate sauce
Homemade ice cream and sherbet.
Japanese pancakes:
Here’s my plate:
French onion soup
Puto Bumbong:
Complimentary coffee and latte
FINAL VERDICT:
I was looking for some usual dishes we see at other buffets like Teppanyaki, tempura and dim sum but didn’t find any. As for the carving station, the roasted beef was tough to chew. Though I have to say their paella and pasta were delicious. Don’t forget to leave room for their dessert as they have a wide selection of it which includes ice cream, sherbet, puto bumbong, Japanese pancakes and churros. Overall, it was still a satisfying experience here at Novotel Manila.
Also, the Lunch buffet price on Sunday is Php 1,588 per person.
