I saw a friend check into this place in Facebook. Because of my love for food, my curiosity struck again. I was drawn to try this restaurant. Behind FAT is Chef Mikel Zaguirre of the famous Locavore.
The menu consists of our usual comfort food. They also have Lunch Specials that are below Php 205, which are perfect for those with budget or for nearby offices.
ANGUS QUESADILLA (Php 245)
There was a hint of curry spices into it. I was expecting garlic mayo but the mayo given was a little bland. I still remembered the quesadilla in Senor Pollo. It was plain, but very flavorful.
We got curious from their Lunch Specials so we ordered our mains from this section.
BOSTON PULLED PORK (Php 195)
The slow roasted Boston shoulder was used, making it very tender and flavorful. It was a little barbecue-ish in taste. The bacon gravy was unnecessary, but it was good with the plain rice.
PORK CHOP IN CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE (Php 185)
This one caught my attention because of the mushroom gravy spread on the plate making it look very savory. For the taste, it was good, but not extraordinary.
If I was working in the area, I would suggest to try this place out after work or for Friday lunch out. What we ordered are very common. So I would suggest if you would go all the way to BGC, skip their Lunch Specials and order for the real mains on the menu.
