Tim Ho Wan is Hong Kong’s most famous Michelin Star dim sum place. Hong Kong locals are willing to wait in the long queue to get a taste of their delicious, authentic and relatively cheap dim sum. Finally, we’re lucky because Tim Ho Wan is finally here in Manila.
As you can see on their menu, they mainly serve Cantonese dim sum.
New items in their menu:
Pork Dumpling with Shrimp
This is known here as siomai.
Baked Bun with BBQ Pork
This is their famous freshly baked buns. Many restaurants also offer this sort of pastry, but some say that Tim Ho Wan’s version is still the best.
I think Tuan Tuan‘s version of the asado bun is sweeter, but I can’t decide which is better. I love them both!
Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork and Shrimp
Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp
Vermicelli Roll with BBQ Pork
Rice with Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom
Spareribs Rice
Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf
Sticky rice with lots of meat inside.
Tofu with Pork Floss
Mango Pomelo Sago
FINAL VERDICT:
Tim Ho Wan serves delicious dim sum and the baked BBQ buns is a must order. Don’t expect to see main dishes on their menu though. I recommend this place if you are a dim sum lover or if you’re looking for a light meal.
