I heard so many good reviews about Va Bene saying that their pasta is one of the best in Manila. I almost forgot about it until I saw it in Central Square in BGC. I already ate that time, but I decided to set an evening with my friends to try this place.
We are finally here and we are all excited. We usually start with salad when I’m with them so we ordered one.
SAMONE SALAD ( Php 380)
The mixed lettuce is fresh and the salmon was seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall, it was kind of ordinary for me.
SPINACH RAVIOLO ( Php 360)
The spinach raviolo was small, but very worth it!
BLACK INK TAGLIOLINI ( Php 440)
The serving for this is more than expected. This is recommended by the staff. It was very flavorful and unique.
ORGANIC EGGS TAGLIATELLE ( Php 440)
This is one of their bestsellers we all wanted to try. It didn’t disappoint. The pasta was wide and coated with cream sauce with the fragrant smell of truffle. Delicious!
VEAL CHEEKS ( Php 890)
The veal is very tender and it also comes with raviolo but different from the ones we ordered. I prefer the Spinach raviolo.
BOSCAIOLA PIZZA ( Php 288)
You can skip the pizza. It felt ordinary.
The pasta indeed is their specialty. Each has a distinct flavor and aroma. We actually ordered the PORCINI RISOTTO ( Php 690) and it was also good. Too bad we forgot to take a picture of it. The place is very casual and relaxing unlike other Italian restaurants which are very fancy.
