Another tonkatsu place here in Metro Manila is Tonkatsu by Terazawa from the Bistro Group. Because we have the Bistro Card, we decided to try their tonkatsu here.
5 PCS OYSTER ( Php 525)
Super juicy oyster! It’s crunchy outside and the oyster melts in my mouth. Perfect combination! A must order!
The traditional way of eating tonkatsu is to sprinkle salt on the sauce bowl. Salt has a fascinating way of bringing out the flavor of the meat. You can also dip it in their special Tonkatsu sauce to add zest or spice into it.
Rosu or Pork Loin contains fat for a robust flavor
Hire or Pork Fillet is lean meat for a healthier choice.
HIRE KATSU 90g ( Php 325)
HIRE KATSUDON ( Php 410)
Because I was feeling healthy, I chose the hire, but I felt that it’s too lean for my liking. I should have stick to Rosu instead.
CHICKEN KATSU 90g ( Php 350)
My brother prefers chicken over pork…
ROSU CURRY ( Php 465)
This one is more tender and juicy.
Goma sauce for the shredded cabbage:
I can’t say that it’s not good here. But from all the tonkatsu place I have eaten, Tonkatsu by Terazawa is my least favorite. Though I highly recommend their Oyster!
