We finally went to Uptown Place Mall in BGC to try Texas Roadhouse. It is located on the fourth floor, together with Moe’s Southwest Grill and Watami. Texas Roadhouse is known for their hand-cut steaks, award winning ribs, burgers, sandwiches and drinks. The primary reason we came here is for the steak!
As we enter, the staff assisted us to our seats. They get a basket of freshly baked bread for us.
I love the soft bread! It’s warm and lightly glazed with honey. It comes with the spread, but I like it plain.
Unlimited peanuts! You can eat as many peanuts as you want while waiting for the food.
SIRLOIN 8oz (Php 995)
The staff requested us to slice the steak in front of him to ensure the doneness of the meat is correct.
You can pair it with their steak sauce. I always prefer gravy, but they didn’t have it here. For the steak, it was tender but tastes a little bland. The mashed potato is good.
GRILLED PORKCHOP 2PCS (Php 495)
The pork chop was flavorful given that it has peppercorns on top.
FINAL VERDICT:
Our experience at Texas Roadhouse was hit for the pork chop but a little disappointed for the steak. Maybe we expected too much for the steak so we are quite unsatisfied with it. We recently had steak in Tender Bob’s and we still like Tender Bob’s steak better. But, we had a good experience here and will still go back to try their other items in the menu.
