We wanted to dine somewhere special this Christmas so we look for a place to have a nice celebration. Blackbird has always been on the list for a place to have a special date so we decided to visit the place.
Blackbird is located in Neilson Tower of the old Manila International Airport. We actually missed the place and we have to ask the guard for directions.
As we enter, we are greeted and assisted by the staff. The place is very clean and fancy. But the feels and the ambiance would have been nicer in the evening.

BUBBLE & SQUEAK ( Php 580)
The potatoes were good and the sausages were just ordinary.
BLACKBIRD BURGER BRUNCH ( Php 680)
This was probably the most ordered here. The burger was very simple and everything goes well together. The patty and the fries are not oily and are cooked to perfection.
CHOCOLATE ALMOND TORTE ( Php 380)
The staff recommended this dessert and it wasn’t on the menu. It was more on the sweet side and a little salty.
CAPPUCCINO ( Php 120)
FINAL VERDICT:
Reservation is recommended. The place is good for a private meeting and will be nicer at night for a romantic date. The staffs are very attentive and accommodating. The price is high given that it’s a fine dining restaurant. The food we ordered tasted ordinary for us. I guess we expected too much for a fine dining. Overall, it was still a nice experience.
