Cafe Juanita is a modern Filipino restaurant known for its nice interiors. This is a great place to have a date or just a nice dinner with family and friends. Take note, it’s a quiet place with soft music playing so it’s not really a good place for loud conversations.

They have a branch in Kapitolyo and Burgos Circle, Taguig. We went for the Burgos Circle branch instead since the parking is more convenient in Taguig.

Tummy Tip:  The Kapitolyo branch has a limited and shared parking with Haru ( the Japanese restaurant beside it) and since it’s double parking, the guard might call you to move your car at any time.

We spent Valentine’s day here. The first floor is a bit crowded and the seats are limited. For this reason, we’ve requested for seats on the second floor. The place has a warm and cozy feeling with lights and lamps covered in patterned cloth. Tables are also well decorated. It’s the perfect place to have a date. We went there at around 6pm so the place was still empty, but we can see that all the tables were already reserved.

TWO-WAY PORK ADOBO RIBS

Tender Pork ribs braised in Juanita’s secret adobo sauce and topped with crispy pork adobo flakes

At first bite, it was just the usual and traditional adobo, but we’ve discovered a secret. You have to combine the pork ribs and the adobo flakes to appreciate the taste. Pair it with lots of garlice rice!

MALLUNGGAY CHICKEN

Chicken cafe juanita
Sliced chicken breast and tofu stewed in creamy coconut milk and malunngay. Served on a bed of native leaves

This looks like a simple dish, but it was actually very good. I’m not a big fan of coconut based dishes, but this one just got it right. The flavors are balanced and it tastes like an old secret recipe.

FINAL VERDICT:

It’s a nice place to celebrate special occasions here. We recommend you to have a reservation first, remember to request for seats on the second floor.
