We are looking for a new place to eat at Tomas Morato. We came across Scout Limbaga and saw Relish. Because parking is available at that time and the exterior looks like a nice white house with homey structure, we end up here.
Upon entering, the place looks elegant and classy in white and black colors which are pleasing and clean in the eyes.
The menu has variety of comfort food choices and has pictures to help you decide which looks appealing to you.
NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER (Php 195)
The clam chowder soup was so creamy and flavorful! The serving is huge given the price.
WILD MUSHROOM WITH TRUFFLE OIL (Php 415)
This was delicious and at par to Italian restaurant here that serves good pasta. The pasta is cooked al dente. The sauce is flavorful and has the right aroma of truffle which is what I always looked for when I ordered truffle. Definitely our favorite!
RELISH ROASTED CHICKEN (Php395)
This chicken amazes me. There is no dry part and its fall off the bone infused with flavors! This is the perfect roast chicken for me.
CHIMICHURRI CHICKEN KEBAB ( Php 395)
Another hit! The chicken is juicy and flavorful itself, even without sauce.
SLOW ROASTED BEEF BELLY W/ AU JUS 3 slices (Php 575)
The beef belly is very very tender and flavorful. But expect it to be fatty given that it’s belly.
RELISH ICE TEA
Ice tea is refreshing and not the powdered ones used.
FINAL VERDICT:
Relish is all about serving comfort food. I love everything we ordered, from the soup, pasta, chicken and ice tea! The place is for family, friends or even for a date. On my next visit, I’m thorn if I’m going to order the same food or try their other appetizing dishes! Whatever it is, I’m definitely going back! I didn’t know that Relish at Ponte in Makati which is famous for their roasted chicken is the same as this one in Tomas Morato. I’m glad we discovered it here! I just can’t stop complementing their food!!
